Work Experience

As someone pursuing a double degree, I have varied work experience that bridges multiple fields. I enjoy tackling multi-faceted issues, and I love working on new projects that incorporate both analytical and creative competencies. I'm looking forward to an exciting opportunity with PwC as a Tax Intern this upcoming summer!

Coming Up...

Tax Intern, Industry Services Group
Summer 2015
New York City

The Industry Services Group is PwC's non-financial tax group.  This summer, I'll be getting an introduction into what tax accountants do on a day-to-day basis in the heart of New York City.

There are several things I'm hoping to accomplish while I hold this position. First, I would like to begin learning how to apply the tax practices I've studied in the classroom to actual clients.  Second, I'd like to continue honing my Excel skills.  Finally, I'd like to learn more about the field of accounting from seasoned professionals.

Prior Experience...

Customer Development Intern, Drug & Beauty Department
Summer 2014
Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey

Over the summer, I was tasked with creating a system by which the Drug & Beauty team could gauge the progress of Personal Care Innovations within the Drug channel.  By doing so, I greatly improved my Excel skills.  I also really stepped out of my comfort zone, and my networking and presentation skills improved as a result.

A really enjoyed working with so many products, and I liked the critical thinking that was necessary to tackle a previously unsolved problem.  I also enjoyed working with people from many different backgounds with varying areas of expertise.

General Intern
Summers 2013, 2012, 2011, & 2010
Jessup, Maryland

I worked on a variety of tasks during my time at API, covering work in every department.  Some days, I would do filing or clerical work.  Others, I would help with conducting year-end inventory counts for accounting purposes.  Yet other days, I would help with assemblies or repairs.

This cross-functional work was enormously helpful for understanding the workings of a business.  I was able to see communications and structure throughout the organization and how all of the pieces moved together to form a cohesive unit.  I liked knowing everyone in the company and being able to wear many hats.
